Vans LX Classic Slip-On 98 Act Of Disagreement 'Black Checkerboard'

Description:

The Vans LX Classic Slip-On 98 “Act of Disagreement” reimagines the iconic laceless silhouette through a deliberately distressed aesthetic. Developed with Slam Jam, the design disrupts the familiar checkerboard pattern with mismatched panels, frayed canvas edges, and worn detailing that gives the upper an intentionally unfinished appearance. The distressed treatment continues across the sidewalls, where portions of the checkerboard design appear fragmented.

Despite the unconventional finish, the shoe retains the practical construction that defines the Slip-On, including elastic side panels for easy entry, a padded collar, foam footbed, and Vans’ signature rubber waffle outsole. The black-and-checkerboard palette keeps the silhouette instantly recognizable while the weathered treatment creates a more experimental interpretation. The Vans LX Classic Slip-On 98 “Act of Disagreement” Black Checkerboard released on September 10, 2026, with a retail price of $90.
